Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026. By using YTMATE, you agree to these terms.
1. What YTMATE is
YTMATE is a free browser-based tool that lets you download a YouTube video as an MP4 file. There's no account, no software install, and we don't store the files you download.
2. Your responsibility for content
You are solely responsible for what you download and how you use it. Only download videos you own, that are explicitly licensed for reuse (e.g. Creative Commons), or that you have the uploader's permission to save. YTMATE does not review, endorse, or take responsibility for any content downloaded through the service.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use YTMATE to infringe copyright, violate YouTube's Terms of Service, redistribute downloaded content commercially without rights, or automate bulk requests in a way that disrupts the service for others.
4. No warranty
YTMATE is provided "as is," with no guarantee it will always work for every video โ some videos may be age-restricted, region-locked, or otherwise unavailable to download for reasons outside our control.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, YTMATE and its operator are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including copyright claims arising from content you choose to download.
6. Changes to the service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of YTMATE at any time without notice.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of YTMATE after a change means you accept the updated terms.
